Best Buy had a problem. Gen Z wasn't thinking of them when they thought about innovation.
So we handed a few DJs something weird: a blender, a keyboard, a washing machine. Then we asked a pretty simple question — what would these sound like as a beat?
They came into the store to find out.
First, we teased the contest with ASMR clips posted to socials, all using sounds found in Best Buy.
Then we invited participants into stores to take sounds from items on the shelves and turn them into hit tracks.
Each song dropped under #bestbeats, and the DJ with the most likes won a fully produced music video.
